By default ghost will not turn on the built-in ghost comment for you, you need to enable it in the ghost dasboard to use it.

Go to Settings > Membership

Select All members

Done, you have enabled comments for the ghost blog.

Author bio will be limited to 200 characters. You can update your profile on the ghost dashboard. The banner image can be a Twitter banner or a 600x200px image.
